Finally, a Final Winner…

Leaving Las Vegas...

Whew, what a week it's been!  It's been a great CES, and thanks to everyone for tuning in and keeping track of my many exploits.  And congratulations to those nuvi winners!  Our hope is that we might be able to keep this site going in some form or fashion.  What would you like to see happen?  Do you have a nuvi of your own?  Where have you taken it and what have you done with it?  Any interesting stories, tips, or tricks?  Send us emails and photos (keep it clean, folks) to media.relations@garmin.com.  And by all means, stay tuned.

Howdy, Partners...

While cruising the CES floor today, I stopped by some of Garmin’s many technology partners, including XM, Microsoft, Palm, NAVTEQ, Kenwood, and Harley-Davidson. I snapped a few more pictures so everyone could see what was happening in their booths.

Garmin, Garmin Everywhere!

There was more time this morning to cruise the halls at CES. I grabbed a few photos of Garmin ads sprinkled throughout the hall… and even a mobile billboard or two cruising the Vegas Strip (note how you can see the big blow-up nuvi in the background, too!).  It seems as though we’re everywhere!

Hello CES, and Hello Me!!!

Here it is, ground zero of the tech world. Some 2,500 exhibitors from around the world are inhabiting more than 1.5 million square feet of space at the Las Vegas Convention Center. That’s a 15-foot tall version of me right outside the front entrance, put up by the fine folks at Garmin.  Isn't that a gas?  Stay tuned for more pictures from the floor...

My Experience at Digital Experience

Tonight I attended the pre-CES function known as Digital Experience, which attracts some of the top tech writers in the business. I’ve never been poked, prodded, admired, or adored so much by so many! Many had even said they'd seen me on my blog.  The food they serve here is pretty good, too – I recommend the crispy shrimp.

I'm On My Way...

CES here I come!  I boarded a plane today to make my way to the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show.  You could say I was born to travel...  and as you can see, I'm small enough to stow in a shirt pocket -- try doing that with your laptop.

 

Once we landed in Las Vegas, I was greeted by some big ads featuring yours truly.  Cool, eh?

I’m on my way to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas — better known to the technoscenti as CES.  It’s the world’s biggest debutante ball for all the latest electronic hardware, software, gadgets, gizmos, and gewgaws.  I’ll have semi-regular updates to this blog to keep you apprised of my exploits, so bookmark the site and check back often.  And, in the spirit of Vegas, you might even have a chance to win your very own nuvi.  You never know what might happen in Vegas.  And remember, what happens on the road... goes in the blog.
